Freelance Editor and Director based in New York City.
David began learning the craft of filmmaking while in high school at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts’ Summer Program. His films were nominated in numerous categories and awarded for Best Comedy as well as Best Screenplay.
David continued pursuing opportunities to make films, and in 2018 he co-founded The Vacationland Collective, a small production company focused on telling Maine-based stories. With The Vacationland Collective David has written, directed, produced, and edited three short films and one music video. The company has plans to begin production on another short film this fall.
After graduating from Colby College in 2019, David moved to Los Angeles to continue his career in film. While there, he worked as a production assistant on commercials and independent films. In addition to his work as a production assistant, David was brought on by the Bentonville Film Festival (BFF) to join their programming team, as well as provide editing and coordinating services with the festival’s dedicated video team. After his time spent working with BFF, David was hired by Sundance Film Festival to screen and assist in the selection of International Narrative Feature Films.
David now resides in New York City where he works as a freelance editor and director.
